Add heading and footnote

Writing a title and introduction isn't always enough to explain the chart to your readers, but you can add additional information, such as heading and footnote to help your audience read your chart more easily.

  1. In the upper-right corner, click Edit.
  2. In the right-hand sidebar, click Additional Content to expand the section.
  3. In the right-hand sidebar, click the checkmark next to Heading to enable or disable it.
  4. In the chart you're working on, click the heading and edit or delete existing text, or enter new one.
  5. In the right-hand sidebar, click the checkmark next to Footnote to enable or disable it.
  6. In the chart, click the footer and edit or delete existing text, or enter new one.

Both the header and the footer support text formatting. Select the text you want to format and click the formatting option you need in the popup.

Advanced heading and footnote settings can be accessed in theme editor. Head over to our theme guide to find out everything you need to know.
